Battlefield 6 Season 4 starts July 21, with a Top Gun collaboration joining August 18

Battlefield 6 enters Season 4 on July 21 with new map Tsuru Reef and three weapons. Wake Island and a Top Gun tie-in follow August 18.

Battlefield 6 opens its fourth season on July 21. The season begins with a new map, Tsuru Reef, set on a tropical Pacific island, mixing steep cliffs, a scattering of small islets, a resort, and the ruins of an old war bunker. The map introduces small boats such as the RHIB and CB90, letting squads cut across the water and push into enemy positions quickly. Three weapons unlock alongside it: the EF88 assault rifle for both close and long range, the BREN3 carbine for mid-range engagements, and the VSSM with an integrated suppressor.

The second beat lands on August 18. Wake Island, a map familiar to longtime series fans, returns with collaboration content tied to the film Top Gun. The Carrier Assault mode built around two opposing aircraft carriers awards victory to whichever side sinks the other's carrier, and the Desert HTI sniper rifle, boasting the longest range in the game, joins as well.

The season also delivers quality-of-life changes players have been asking for. A new custom lobby lets players set up matches with the rules they want, and Portal allows teams and squads to be arranged before entering. Lobby admin permissions and a spectator mode overhaul aimed at community tournaments are also planned. These improvements extend to the free battle royale mode Redsec. The final Season 4 update is slated for early September, with details to come closer to the date.
