NCSoft's idle RPG Journey of Monarch will end service at midnight on August 12, 2026, roughly one year and eight months after its commercial launch on December 4, 2024. The company posted the shutdown notice on its official site on the 3rd, and sales of paid items already stopped following the regular maintenance on July 8. The game app remains downloadable only until noon on August 7, after which it will be pulled.

Specific details on refunds will follow in a later notice. With about a month left before closure, the full policy is expected to be published soon. NCSoft thanked players for their support and said it would work to keep the game running without disruption for the remaining period.
