Return of the Ancients is the new league that began with the 0.5.0 major content update for Grinding Gear Games' hack-and-slash ARPG Path of Exile 2. It adds six endgame storylines, two new ascendancies (Martial Artist and Spiritwalker), a new final boss and a challenge league. Because every character starts fresh in a new league, it is a natural entry point for returning and first-time players. It began in Korea at 5:00 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
