Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch — The 2026 Release Lineup

Star Fox, Splatoon Raiders, Digimon Story: Time Stranger and the rest of the 2026 Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch lineup, with dates, developers and what to watch for.

The next-generation Nintendo Switch 2 is filling out its library in earnest. Alongside first-party releases, multiplatform blockbusters are shipping Switch 2 versions, and the range of choice is widening quickly. Here's what's arriving on Switch 2 and Switch in 2026, in release order.

Nintendo first-party

  • Star Fox (Switch 2) (July 2 · Nintendo) — A new Star Fox entry after a long silence, with shooting action built on Switch 2's performance.
  • Splatoon Raiders (July 23 · Nintendo EPD) — A new project in the Splatoon line. The interesting question is how far it moves from the series' competitive core.

Switch 2 versions of multiplatform releases

  • Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game (July 2 · Bandai Namco) — A fighter built on a popular animated IP, launching across all platforms including Switch 2.
  • Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok (July 9 · Cygames) — A large expansion to a well-received action RPG, playable on Switch 2 as well.
  • Digimon Story: Time Stranger (July 10 · Media.Vision) — A new RPG in the Digimon Story series, supporting both Switch and Switch 2.
  • Moss: The Forgotten Relic (July 16 · Polyarc) — A new entry in the VR-acclaimed Moss series, with Switch 2 included in its multiplatform lineup.
  • Ratatan (July 16 · Ratata Arts) — Rhythm action involving members of the Patapon team. Its unusual concept has built real enthusiast anticipation.
  • Lies of P: Complete Edition (August 6 · NEOWIZ) — Korea's soulslike standout arrives on Switch 2 as a complete edition with DLC included.
  • Elden Ring Tarnished Edition (Switch 2) (August 28 · FromSoftware) — The soulslike benchmark, expansion included, ported to Switch 2 for handheld play.

Why Switch 2 is worth watching now

Switch 2 is in the early phase where first-party exclusives and multiplatform blockbusters accumulate at the same time. The main draw is getting Nintendo's characteristic handheld-to-docked experience at next-generation performance. Titles listed as Switch 2 may not be compatible with the original Switch, so confirm supported hardware before buying.
