Week 4 of June 2026 — Imminent Launches and Pre-Registrations Worth Locking In
New releases arriving between late June and early July, plus games currently taking pre-registrations, sorted by D-day. From Odin's new server to Star Fox and the new Sword Art Online.
Late June 2026: What to Lock In Before It Ships
This week stacks imminent releases against titles taking their final pre-registrations. The spread runs from major Korean mobile MMORPG updates to console headliners, across genres and platforms alike. Games with closing pre-registration windows usually have rewards attached, so signing up before launch is simply the better deal. Everything below is ordered by how close the D-day is.
Shipping within 14 days
Start with the two MMORPG updates colliding on June 24. Odin: Valhalla Rising's 5th anniversary Skadi server marks five years of service by adding the new Sorceress advancement Alchemist and world stronghold sieges at the same time. Pre-registration closes June 23 — one day left, so move quickly. The same day, the Lineage M PHOENIX update and new Reboot World delivers its ninth-anniversary patch with an Elf class reboot and a new world. If you're aiming at the early game on a fresh server, the fact that both start from the same line is worth noting.
On console, June 25 brings Dead or Alive 6: Last Round back as an expanded edition with a 29-fighter roster including five DLC characters. A free base version launches the same day, which keeps the barrier to entry low. Also on the 25th, Mabinogi Mobile Season 2 "Light and Dark" applies a major seasonal update with new story and dungeons.
Month's end and early July stay packed. Requiem M, Gravity's dark fantasy mobile MMORPG, is in its final stretch toward a Q2 target. On July 1, Aion 2 Chapter 1 "Land of Sand and Frost" opens the game's first major chapter with a level 50 cap expansion, the new Gunsage class and new Elyos and Asmodian regions. The same day, Genshin Impact 6.7 "Luna VIII" rolls out globally with new five-star Sandrone, modeled on the seventh of the Fatui Harbingers.
Console releases follow in sequence. On July 2, Star Fox (Switch 2) arrives as a cinematic remake of 1997's Star Fox 64, a Switch 2 exclusive with Joy-Con 2 mouse controls and an orchestral soundtrack. The same day, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game launches across all platforms — a 1v1 fighter built on the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra IPs with rollback netcode and full cross-play.
Mid-July, opening for preorder soon
Looking slightly further out, the second week of July is solid. On July 9-10, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced returns as a full remake in the current Anvil engine with a new ending and added content, while Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok arrives as a large expansion with new story, summons and cross-play. In the same window, Sword Art Online: Echoes of Aincrad lets players dive into Aincrad as their own avatar for the first time in the series — a big draw for fans of the source. If you'd rather play handheld, the Digimon Story: Time Stranger (Switch) port joins the same day. Baseball fans should hold July 16 for eBaseball: PRO SPIRIT 2026, which brings the series' first Korean subtitles and a WBC mode.
Wrapping up
This week comes down to two things: the closing pre-registration windows for the Odin and Lineage M servers, and the run of console headliners scheduled through early July. More upcoming titles are on Upcoming Games and New Servers & Events, with platform breakdowns and D-day counts on Mobile Games, PC & Console Games and Global Blockbusters. Release and pre-registration dates can move, so register early for anything you care about and let the calendar notify you.
