Slay the Spire 2' Gets Beta Patch Adding New Starter Relics
The roguelike deckbuilder 'Slay the Spire 2' has applied a new beta patch. It adds two starter relics and broadly adjusts boss balance and cards across several characters.
Mega Crit Games' roguelike deckbuilder 'Slay the Spire 2' has rolled out a new beta patch. The most notable additions are two new starter relics. 'Dowsing Rod' grants a 0-cost quest card and, after passing five event rooms, evolves into a card that lets you play a random power card for free, while 'Nioh's Sacrifice' provides a potion that restores half your max HP and grants an extra turn, at the cost of adding a curse card that disappears after a set number of battles.
Balance changes are wide-ranging as well. The Act 3 boss 'Eternal Hourglass' had its early damage lowered, while the Queen's minion was buffed, and both Ironclad and Defect received upgrades to several cards. Silent saw key cards like 'Mirage' reworked, and cards for Regent and Necrobinder also had their effects changed. The patch further includes multiplayer-only card tweaks, new illustrations, and various bug fixes.
