MapleStory's Second Summer Update Brings a Third 6th-Job Skill Core on July 23

Nexon's MapleStory adds a third 6th-job skill core for every class in its second summer update on July 23, alongside the first pre-season World Leap.

Nexon's PC MMORPG MapleStory applies its second summer update to live servers on July 23. The centerpiece is a third 6th-job skill core added to every class; unlike the earlier Origin and Ascent skills, which shared a similar mechanic across jobs, this core is designed differently for each class to reflect its combat structure and character. Nexon says the new core is meant to shore up each class's long-standing weaknesses while sharpening its strengths.

The update was verified through test worlds on July 9 and July 16, and the live rollout coincides with the first pre-season World Leap, which lets players move Challengers World characters over to regular worlds.
