HOUND13's 'Dragonsword: Awakening' Launches on Steam July 23

The open-world action RPG, reborn as a gacha-free single-player package, hits Steam on July 23 at 7 AM KST after surpassing 300,000 Steam wishlists.

HOUND13's open-world action RPG Dragonsword: Awakening launches on Steam at 7 AM KST on July 23. The title reworks the studio's former live-service game 'Dragonsword' into a gacha-free, buy-to-play single-player package. After ending its publishing deal with Webzen and shifting to self-publishing, HOUND13 released a demo in June and has now unveiled a launch trailer ahead of release.

The new trailer showcases skills and combos from newly added playable heroes such as Othello, Theresia, and Dana, along with the game's signature tag action system of swapping between characters and climbing onto giant bosses to attack. The developer says it refined the game after the demo, adding a lock-on system, sensitivity and aim-assist options, and improved jump and controller handling based on player feedback. The game passed 300,000 Steam wishlists on July 10.
