Overwatch PC service in Korea moves to Nexon on August 12, with account linking now open

Nexon begins operating Overwatch in Korea on August 12 with Season 4. Link a Battle.net account by August 11 to carry over all data.

Nexon confirmed on the 7th that it will take over the Korean PC service for Overwatch starting August 12. The handover lines up with the Season 4 update, and Nexon plans to work with Blizzard on content and PC bang services tailored to the Korean market. To carry over existing player records, account linking runs through August 11. Players log in with a Nexon account on the official site, complete identity verification, and connect a Battle.net account registered under the same name, after which cosmetics such as skins and sprays, in-game currency, and progression all transfer intact.

Once the service goes live, the game can be launched from Nexon.com and Nexon Plug in addition to the existing Battle.net launcher. Players who link their accounts and keep them linked through launch receive one Nexon Legendary Loot Box, which guarantees four legendary skins, along with a new D.Va legendary skin called Splash Surfer D.Va and 20 Mythic Prisms. A profile card, player icon, five legendary loot boxes, and a special title round out the rewards.
